Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree and an extensive accounting background that includes direct experience with advanced budgeting/forecasting, advanced revenue recognition and knowledge of government contracts. Experience working for a government contract, ideally within a professional services firm such as PR, advertising, law firm, architecture, etc. is highly desirable. Advanced MS Excel, basic Hyperion, basic SAP skills are preferred; CPA is a plus.

Description

Our client, a strategic communications firm in Washington, D.C., is seeking a VP Finance to join its team. In this key role that manages a team of 6, the VP of Finance will be responsible for the analysis and management of the monthly and annual revenue recognition in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley compliance, budgeting and forecasting. This position will also manage government contracts, compose various reports and other duties as required.
